Anya is a very geeky and curious human girl who has been sheltered her whole life.
Background:
Anya was at first a very quiet human girl that lived in the highly-sheltered neighborhood of Shell Gardens. During her time in school, Anya enjoyed her time at the reading club at her school and eventually became president of the club before graduating. A few of her favorite books to read were fictional stories with magic and fantasy. Her parents and her while a very typical semi-close family that excelled in their personal lives, but never pushed to stand out and make a scene of themselves further. Her parents hold a high influence in Shell Gardens than most, due to their personal work influence within the local government. With this, Anya and her parents have always been more than well-off and the family did very little to jeopardize the family's comfort and safety. Because of this, Anya was strictly raised to always follow the rules no matter the reason without hesitation.
During her last few days as president of the reading club, the literature teacher gave her a set of photos taken by their distant relatives with candid photos of the different neighborhoods of The Ghostly as a graduation gift. The literature teacher shared with Anya that it would be better she take them than letting the photos gather dust in their home. It was a faded set of photos, and many weren't very clear, but Anya's interest to explore and understand grew tremendously. Within the following weeks' questions and concerns festered in her mind. Later, Anya tried to contact her previous literature teacher, but all evidence of their existence seemed to have miraculously vanished. With growing concerns, she reluctantly looked for answers with her parents but was only given ambiguous responses. Weeks have passed since then and Anya's parents presented her with the once in a lifetime opportunity to travel outside the Shell Garden walls with a travel and work permit. As astonishing as it was, the travel permit had very strict limitations. If Anya took the opportunity, she would only be allowed to travel to and from the closest neighborhood, Yolkytown. Anya would have a strict time frame to travel to and from work. Violating these rules will lead to immediate punishment. Despite feeling cheated by the limitations, Anya eagerly took the offer the next day. Anya is now the highly trusted boba tea maker of The Boba Express alongside her silly coworker, Milo.
Personality:
Anya is a very quiet girl but has a strong interest in reading. She was raised to be very compliant and to not question the "natural order of things", but due to her natural curiosity, that was very difficult for her. She tries to be very understanding and open to the new things that surround her, but countless times she can come off as very sheltered and spoiled with her wording. Her favorite place to hang out would be the elusive Library of Shell Gardens.
Fashion Sense:
Anya's fashion sense can be best described as naive and innocent with a twist of silly. She tends to wear flowy and free above-the-knee dresses in pale and soft cream tones and colored leggings and black flats. She's often seen wearing her violet headband with tiny horns sticking out that keep her hair out of her face as well as "blend in more" with the locals of Yolkytown.
Platonic & Romantic Relationships:
Anya struggles with making friends beyond her small reading circle at The Library and Dumplr. Despite this, Milo did not find her a bit strange or weird and welcomed her to Yolkytown with a lovely drawing, which she secretly kept a photo of on her phone. She has also become friends with the train conductor and the railroad worker and openly criticizes the strict values and isolated ways of Shell Gardens.
Now about her romantic feelings, she hasn't fully experienced the subjects of love and passion outside her weekly library books. She does fantasize about being serenaded and courted by a lovely prince but is too awkward and shy to pull any moves. Although, she does find herself interested in chatting up the charming young railroad worker more and more if she didn't have a strict travel schedule. Despite her interest in dating, she knows that one day her parents will most likely marry her off in the future and she hopes that this someone will be as understanding and kind as the princes she meets in books.
