Background:
Roots is an irritating vampire boy trying to live his best life. His family is from Darkipelago, but Roots was born and raised in Moonshadow Valley. Roots is very loyal to his neighborhood and heritage. He currently lives with his parents and grandvampy, who is a proud Darkipelago and refuses to assimilate into Moonshadow Valley. At times, this creates tension between the parents and his grandvampy, but Roots completely adores the elder. While he's never visited Darkipelago personally, the chaotic and gruesome stories his grandvampy tells, truly brighten his day. Although he loves his Darkipelagian and Moonshadow side, he sometimes struggles with successfully connecting his two worlds and tends to wander the vacant streets when arguments at home get too heavy.
While Roots is fairly well-known around the neighborhood and online, he struggles to make meaningful connections with others around him. Maybe it's his intense Darkipelgian influence or maybe it's the conflicting upbringing to be vile but also considerate.
Personality:
Roots tend to come off as harsh and rude at first glance, but he's truly just a bundle of conflicting emotions of what is actually just and honorable. He can also be very forward and, bigheaded, but with his conflicting upbringing Roots struggles with expressing his true feelings. He tends to mask his indecisive and anxious feelings with sharp smiles and snide comments. The only place he can fully be himself is when he's logged on as C0unt-Bl00dy on Dumplr. Even to his surprise, he's made a few long-lasting friendships through his personal blog, who knew!!
Fashion Sense:
Roots is always up-to-date on the latest edgy fashion lines and styles. He takes strong influence from his favorite ghostly fictional character Phanny Dantom. He even colored his hair similar to the ghostly angsty teen. Roots' clothing tends to be black with black accents as a tribute to the ghostly boy.
Platonic & Romantic Relationships:
Roots value his online friendships the most! He may not know them in real life, but his small circle of friends understand and respect him more than those who automatically flock to him. Besides his online friends, Roots loves to flaunt in front of his potential friends/arch-enemies, Lilac and Sophie...but mostly Lilac.
Roots' personal issue with Lilac probably relates back to the moment he made it to the TOP #10s on "Darkipelgo’s Evil List of Upcoming Overlords". Although Roots did not want to join the competition at the start, Roots is now determined to make his grandvampy proud by becoming Darkipelago's Top Next Overlord. But despite the attempts to jump closer to the TOP 3, Roots is unable to surpass the naturally-born evil Lilac, #3.
Roots does not really have enough energy or time to focus on potential romantic relationships, but he does have a few infatuations. While he does not want to admit it and Lilac does scare him, Roots sometimes find himself looking forward for her reaction a bit more than others. Her older brother that sometimes keeps her company also seems very cool and he's kinda pretty for an old vamp.
