The Castle of Bloodroot
An enormous fortress with plenty of history that turned into a metropolitan. The Castle of Bloodroot is the busiest neighborhood in The Ghostly, where "the now" is currently happening and where everyone wants to be.
Geography & Climate
The Castle of Bloodroot is located on the far top left corner of the map of The Ghostly.
Stormy mountains and the dense Kelp Junglands barricade this gated neighborhood from any further unknown neighborhoods. In front of the gated castled neighborhood, lies a sea of soft grassy hills, commonly known as Gloomcross Hills. Within the community, countless puddles and ponds can be found across the cobblestone floors. Within these puddles and ponds, lies an unseen evil that only a few are fully aware of...
The gloomy neighborhood is known for its dark and moist weather. Heavy and dark clouds linger above the fortress neighborhood, leaving the stoned buildings damp and cold to the touch. Most strongly advise to cover up with a heavy cloak and waterproof attire when visiting.

The culture within the wall of Castle of Bloodroot can only be described as bustling and lively, yet quiet and strange.
Despite the gloomy weather, this neighborhood has one of the most active marketplaces within The Ghostly. Unique and rare goods can be found at affordable rates, which brings trainloads of visitors all-year-round. The bright neon from the market signs reflect blues, greens, yellows, and whites on the damp stone brick walls. Because of the rapid and crowded behavior of the marketplace, it's quite common to find colorful groups of people within the market area. From the beggars and thieves to the lost and first-time visitors, the marketplace has it all.
As residents and wanderers move further and further from the noisy marketplace, the temperature grows chilly. The residents within The Castle of Bloodroot are well-known to be quite standoffish and difficult to befriend, despite their behavior in and near the market area. It takes the folks a long time to openly accept a newcomer into their community because of their terrifying and nasty history and lore.
To this day even, the residents view a vampire present within the walls of Castle of Bloodroot as a bad omen. The story of The Vampire Lord eventually became somewhat of a myth among the elders, for threats to the misbehaving and wrong-doers. Few believe that the spirit of The Vampire Lord lingers with the abandoned walls of his previous castle and will one day return and take his revenge on his conspiring subjects, but that is yet to be seen.
But, besides the creeping fear of their gruesome history, the people of The Castle of Bloodroot are some of the most diverse and vanguardist inhabitants of The Ghostly. This neighborhood is constantly hosting cultural events and is one of the preferred neighborhoods for schooling. Also, its participation in the fashion industry is so big that it can only be compared to that of Moonshadow Valley.
